Yasumu is a Japanese term, which translated means to rest, to suspend or to relax.

The latest Alpha Wave Movement recording is a contemplative electronic trek that traverses onto that path of tranquility. Music designated for relaxation, meditation or the inward journey of self-realization.

Streams of gentle synthesized sound are entwined with reflections of distant Tibetan bells, wind chimes and string instruments. Echoes of the orient are speckled throughout and used to accentuate a remote eastern aesthetic.

A aural excursion of a quiescent nature.

Review by Sonic Immersion:

The 45-minute release indeed is an oasis of tranquility and harmony. Here, gentle flowing textures lead the way on the four tracks, with reflections of distant Tibetan bells, wind chimes, sounds of nature and string instruments to accentuate a remote eastern aesthetic (according the composer).
Occasionally, there’s a slow sequence or a light rhythm implemented on the background, as on "Awaken". In addition, I very much love the progression of soft soaring pads on the third piece "Tranquility Temple".

As such, the nicely crafted and dreamy "Yasumu" creates a quiet and soothing mindset to let the mind breathe and settle down after a day in the fast lane of things. Listening to this sonic repose with headphones will do the trick even better.

honestly this album takes quite a bit of time and many listening rounds to actually "get into". No doubt it is technically excellent, with more advanced composition elements than earlier records, however it isn't that easily accessible either. Perhaps this is actually a strength as each time you will listen to there will be more details to discover. MR

Emerging is one of the most beautiful, emotional pieces of music created. A perfect meditative ocean wave for the mind. It's helped me overcome deep sadness and turn my mind back from an empty void to one of just giving and helping anyone in the same position. The empathy seeps through at the deepest level.
